October 23, 1979 Mr. R. O. McClintock Chief, Materials Radiological Protection Service, Fuel Facility and Materials Safety Branch Region 1, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission

-631 Park Avenue King of Prussia, Pennsylvania 19406 Re: Docket #07001421

Dear Mr. McClintock:

When I spoke with Mr. F. Augustine regarding our expired license I learned that Dr. Michael Seremetis who was on the staff of Doctors Hospital was named in the license application.

In speaking with Dr. Seremetis I learned the hospital did apply for a license in anticipation of the possibility of obtaining and implanting cardiac pace-maker containing plutoneum. No such pacemakers were ever obtained so that no radioactive material was e"er received or disposed of under this license.

Sincerely,
