In response to your letter of May 30, 1979, concerning your inspection of our facilities conductd May 8-11, 1979, and pursuar.t to the provisions of 10 % 2.201, the following cmments are made (The above referenced lette was not received by Westinghouse until June 18, 1979 when it was hand carried by an NRC anspector. To date, no copies have been delivered by mail) :
The storage shelf separations in the QC Iab cabinet were corrected to 16 inches; this was acccriplished before the inspector left the plant site. In addition, a program was initiated to measure similar spacings throughout the Columbia Plant to assure that applicable nuclear safety criteria are being maintained. This has been ocmpleted, with full crmpliance dcmonstrated.
Criticality safety specifications and requirements were also reviewed with the cognizant line marager to assure that all such criteria are understood. This has been ccmpleted.
From our review of your inspection report, we have concluded that no proprie-tary infoniution is identificd.
