I enclose for your information a copy of a petition filed on behalf of the Kansas Building & Construction Trades Council which requests that an order be issued to show cause why construction permit should not be revoked.

Also enclosed is our acknowledgment to that request.

The Comission has received similar requests in the past, copies of which have been forwarded previously.

Because of its similar nature, the present petition has been consolidated with the other requests for consideration under 10 CFR 2.206 of the Comission's regulations.

COMES NOW the Petitioner, the Kansas Build.ing and Construction Trades Council, and requests that the Director of Nuclear Reactor Regulatien, the Directer of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards, or the Directer of the Office of Inscpetion and Enforce =ent, as =ay be appropriate, institute a proceeding to suspend constructica and revoke the construction per=it issued for construction of the Wolf Creek Power Plant, Burlington, Kan.as.

In support of this request, the Petitioner would show

'mto the Co=nission that the construction work on said power plant, especially the concrete work which forms the base cat for the reactor, as well as the contain=ent vessel, is so sub-standard and inadequate that operation of the power plant would gravely endanger the public's health and safety; and, said danger can not be alleviated untilthe construction work, especially the concrete, is redene.
