Co==onwealth Edison Co=pany reported that manufacturing On October 20, 1978, deficiencies had been identified in new high pressure core spray, low pressure core spray, and residual heat re= oval pumps manufactured by Ingersoll-Rand (

Co=pany, Cameron Pu=p Division.

Each of these pu=ps is a vertical turbine pu=p with i=pellers located in bowls The motor (pri=e mover) is located at in a su=p or a self contained barrel.

Bearings supporting the vertical the discharge head is just below the driver.

The internal deficiencies, identified through dimensional and visual inspections were as follows:
