FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 1 NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

OF OPERATIONS JUNE, 1979 In June, 1979, the Unit Cycle I-II refueling outage continued to perform inspection and repair of anchor bolts.

The following significant safety-related maintenance was performed in May:

1.

Repaired 1C Diesel Jacket Water Heating Pump.

2.

Replaced concentrates pump on the Waste Evaporator.

3.

Completed sealing all environmentally qualified limit switches on Containment Isolation Valves.

4.

Replaced lightning arrestor on lA Startup Transformer.

5.

Continued work on repair of 1C Charging Pump.

6.

Located source of water leakage into the Rocker Arm Lube Oil System on 1B Diesel Generator.

Will repair when parts are received.

7.

Repaired A and B Instrument Air Dryers.

8.

Repacked No. 10 River Water and D Service Water Pumps.

9.

Closed Containment Equipment Hatch and conducted Local Leak Rate Test.

10.

Repaired Air Start Valve on 1-2A Diesel Generator.

11.

Continued work on snubber testing and inspections.
