This letter is submitted in response to your let',ers dated April 24, 1979, May 15, May 21, May 22, May 29, i979 ar.d June 4,1979 which provided occu-mentation of the results of seismic piping stress reanalysis for Brunswick Stean Electric Plant, Units 1 and 2 in conne: tion with IE Bulletin 79-07.
Your submittals were also in response to the staff's requests for information set forth in our meetings of May 16, May ?l, May 30, 1979 and June 4, 1979.
Cn the basis that the reanalysis was conduc'.ed using c:cputer programs erploying acceptable seismic response combination techniques, and accept-ab e results were obtained from the reanalyses, we conclude + :ac the requirements set forth in IE Bulletin 79-07 will be adequa' :1y satisfied to allcw resumption of power operation on completion of the modifications identified in cur neeting of June 4, 1979.
However. as-built verification of all lines and supports and comp
. ion of code.+rifications will be required before your response to IE bulletin 79-07 is _onsidered finally complete.
A copy of our evaluation addressing this matter is enclosed.
