SUMMARY
OF ACTIVITIES WHILE AT THREE MILE ISLAND I arrived at Three Mile Island at about 1:30 p.m..on May 8, 1979 and departed at 10:00 a.m. on May 23, 1979.
I was assigned as Operations Inspector on the mid-shif t (12:00 Midnight - 8:00 a.m..)
to observe the conduct of operations to insure ccepliance with NRC requirements.
Activities perfor=ed while on duty included monitoring of plant systems such as observing temperature, pressure, level. of the Reactor Coolant System, direct verification of the "3" Decay Heat Removal loop intregrity during hydrostatic testing, observed operators take pressure reading to obtain data for Reactor Building water level determination, monitored the training of operators for Diesel Generators (3.0 J.), and monitored installation of plant modifications for the recovery phase of IMI Unit 2.
On May 23, 1979, I was interviewed by Mr. Keisig, TMI Resident Chief as a prospective candidate for assignment to TMI as a Resident Inspector.
