Dear Mr. Denton:

In our previous submittal dated January 29, 1979 Serial No. 711A/120178, an administrative error was made in Table 3.3-5 item 13.b. We indicated that the 64 second response time was the total time until the diesel generator was supply-ing the bus when in fact it is the time until the diesel receives the start signal.

Therefore, in order to be technically accurate the time shown should include the sensing circuit maximum time delay (64 sec.) plus the FSAR commitment of a diesel response of 110 sec.

Total Time Max = 64 secs sensing 10 secs diesel 74 seconds supplying bus Therefore, a correction should be made on page 3/4 3-29a in amendment 16 to NPF-4 for North Anna Power Station Unit #1 to show a time of 74 see versus 64 seconds item 13b - No SI signal.
