Dear Mr. Groce:
The Comission has requested the Office of the Federal Register to publish the enclosed " Notice of Proposed Issuance of Amendment to Facility Operating License" for the Maine Yankee Atomic Power Station.
This notice relates to your license amendment application dated September 18, 1979, which would revise the provisions of the Station's Technical Specifications to permit the exoansion of the spent fuel pool storage capacity from 953 to 1545 spent fuel assemblies through a modified spent fuel pin storage concept rather than through an increase in storage locations.
