a This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. Folson & Mr. Varela of this office on March 9, 1972 of construction activitics authorized by AEC Conceruction Permit Nos. CPPR-40 and CPPR-66 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Folson with Messrs. Ecward, Avers and Thorpe of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Arcas exanined during the inspection included electrical cable installation, battery rooca, diesel generators, instru:tentation, and progress on the ring girder repair program. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective es:aninations of procedures O
and representative records, intervicus with plant personnel, and observations by cur inspectors.
During this incpection, it was found that one of your activitics appeared to be in nonconformance with the Unit No. 1 Final Safety Analysis Report. The iten and references to the pertinent requirecent are listed in the enclosure to this letter. Please provide us within 30 days, in writing, with your cornents concerning this iten, any steps that have been or vill be taken to correct it, any stops that have been or will be taken to prevent recurrence, and the date all corrective ection or preventive ncasures verc or vill be completed.
Should you have any questions ccucerning this inspection, we vill be pleased to discuss then with you.

Circuits, trays, conduit, and electrical equipment which are Clacs I from the public safety stand-point are being color' coded to help ensure the co::plete maintaining of power, centrol, and instrunent channel integrity."
