This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. S. A. Folsom and Mr.
A. V. J. Burzi of this office on July 11-14, 1972, of construction activities authorized by AEC Construction Permit Nos. CPPR-40 and CPPR-66 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Folsom with Mr. Heward and Mr. Avers of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas ernmined during this inspection included electrical cabling, off-site equipment storage, document control, and the status of out-standing items identified in previous inspections. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective eynminations of procedures and representative records, interviews with plant personnel, and observa-b3 - -tions by our inspector.
During this inspection, it was found that certain of your activities appeared to be in nonconformance with Appendix B to 10 CFR 50. The items and references to the pertinent requirements are listed in the
- --enclosure to this-letter. Please provids us within 30 days, in writing, with your comments concerning these ite=s, any steps that have been or vill be taken to correct them, any steps that have been or will be taken to prevent recurrence, and the date all corrective action or pre-ventive measures were or will be ccupleted. Your reply should emphasize, in.particular, any appropriate. changes _that have been or will be made to improve the effectiveness of your quality assurance program.
