Enclosed please find fifty (50) ccpies of Addendum No. 3 to the document entitled " Report en Centainment Euilding Ring Girder Constructica sad Repair" filed on December 3,1972.
Addendu: 30. 3 was cenpiled.Go answer Questions 5.25 and 5.26 raised in Mr. EeYoung's letter dated August 8, 1972.
With respect to Questien 13.3 contained in Mr. DeYcung's Yetter, Met-Ed intends to revise Table 13-2 of the Three Mile Island Unit No.1 FSAR in the near future to include the following tests:
A.
Less of cff-site power.
3.
Chemical and radiochemical analysis.
C.
Psuedo drcpped red.
D.
Psuede rod ejection tests.
It is not intended to include the generator trip test in Table 13-2 since the pler.: response to this test will be similar to the turbine trip already covered in the table.
The test involving effluents and effluent =cnitoring systems vill not be included in Table 13-2 since definition and scope of testing in this area have not yet been clearly defined.
It is als o not intended to include shutdowns frc= outside the centr:1 roc = in Table 13-2 for the following reascns:

Mr. A. Giambusso Three Mile Island Unit No. I has a unique and sophis ticated fire detection and protection system which would mitigate the conse-quences of a fire to such an extent that th'e contr'ol room can be manned continually during a forced shutdown.
2.
The extension controls that would be used to conduct a shutdown from outside the control room will be tested for operability during the pre-operational testing phase.
3.
Three Mile Island Unit No. I has incorporated an unusually large degree of physical and electrical separability of cont.rol components in the control room design alyout thereby insuring availability of redundant control for shutdown in the event of fire damage.
