Page 1 of 1 Docket No. 50-338 Repo-t No. LER 79-121/03L-0 Description of Event On September 18, 1979, during steady state operatio.n at 54% power, the containment sump flow integrator FTO-DAll5 ceased to function and was declared inoperable. This event is contrary to T.S. 3.4.6.1.c.

Probable Consequences of Occurrence The consequences of this event were minimal because the containment atmosphere particulate and gaseous radioactivity monitoring systems both remained operable to detect Reactor Coolant System leakage. As a result, the health and safety of the general public were not affected. There are no generic'imolications associated with this event, i

Cause of Occurrence FTO-DA115 stopped totalizing flow because a: piece of a rubber glove was caught in the internals preventing the rotor from turning. ,,

Immediate Corrective Action FTO-DA115 was replaced with Unit 2's totalizer. The defective totalizer was disassembled and the piece of rubber glove was found. After the piece of glove was removed, the totalizer functioned properly and was installed in Unit 2.

Scheduled Corrective Action No scheduled corrective action is required.
