This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. D. Donaldson of this
office on September 21 and 22,1977, at the Three Mile" Island Nuclear
Station, Units 1 and 2, of activities authorized by NRC License Nos.
OPR-50 and CPFR-66, and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr.
Donaldson with Mr. J. Seelinger and other members of your staff at the
conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspecticn are described in the Office of
Inspection and Enforcement Inspection Report wnich is enclosed with this
letter.
Within these areas, the inspecticn consisted of selective
examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with
personnei, and observations by the inspector.
Our inspector also verified the steps you had taken to correct the items
of nonccmpliance brought to your attention in a letter dated July 12,
1977.
We have no further questions regarding ycur actions for items A
and B at this time.
Within the scope of this inspection, no items of nonccmpliance were
cbserved.
In accordance with Sc.. tion 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part
2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and the
enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's Public Occument
Rocm.
