Rebelowski's inspection of April 6 - 8, 1977 containa an infraction concerning lack of Diesel Generator stator closure covers during performance of contaminant producing work above This letter constitutes the written response to this in-the generators.

Infraction 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix 3, Criterion XIII states in part that " Measures shall be established to control the handling, storage, shipping, clearing and preservation of material and equip =ent in accordance with vork and inspection instruction to prevent da= age or deterioration".
Quality Control Procedure QC 27-2, Rev. 2. " Prevention of Frireign Material Entry and Control of Tools",Section III.B.2.C. directs the QC field superiisor or his designated representative to verify that all openings are properly closed with temporary covers at the end of ths work day or when work is suspended.
