OYSTER CREEK NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION - ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT NO. 18 TO INDEMNITY AGREEMENT NO B-37 RE: REDUCED OFFSITE INSURANCE (EPID# L-2017-LLM-0007)
Dear Mr. Hanson:
By letter dated June 12, 2019 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System
[ADAMS] Accession No. ML19129A365), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) reissued the exemption from specific requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Section 140.11(a)(4) concerning offsite primary and secondary liability insurance for Exelon Generation Company, LLC for the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station. The revised effective date of the exemption is June 29, 2019.
The enclosure to this letter contains two signed originals of Amendment No. 18 to Indemnity Agreement No B-37 for Exelons signature, which is required in connection with the issuance of the June 12, 2019 exemption. We request that Exelon sign the two originals and return one of the signed originals to the NRCs Document Control Desk as proof of acceptance. Please keep the other signed original for your records.
The NRC wishes to clarify that under separate letter, two official signed originals of the amended indemnity agreement (Amendment No. 19 to Indemnity Agreement No. B-37) will be sent to the new licensees for their signatures should the purchase sale agreement be finalized and upon issuance of the License Transfer Conforming Amendment.
