Dear Administrative Judges:
On January 11, 2019, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff (Staff) notified the Board and the parties that it had provided the Commission with notifications that the Staff intended to issue the Seabrook alkali-silica reaction (ASR) license amendment on or about January 22, 2019 and issue the Seabrook renewed license on or about January 30, 2019. In response to significant public interest, the Staff plans to meet with the public before issuing both the ASR license amendment and the renewed license. The Staff will provide an update on the revised date of the publication of the final Safety Evaluation (SE) on the ASR license amendment as soon as one is available.
