VERMONT YANKEE NUCLEAR POWER STATION - ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT NO. 14 TO INDEMNITY AGREEMENT NO. B-49 RE: ORDER APPROVING DIRECT AND INDIRECT TRANSFER OF THE LICENSE FROM ENTERGY NUCLEAR OPERATIONS, INC. AND ENTERGY NUCLEAR VERMONT YANKEE, LLC TO NORTHSTAR NUCLEAR DECOMMISSIONING COMPANY, LLC AND NORTHSTAR VERMONT YANKEE, LLC AND CONFORMING ADMINISTRATIVE LICENSE AMENDMENT (EPID# L-2017-LLM-0002)
Dear Mr. Silko:
By order dated October 11, 2018 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML18242A638), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approved the direct and indirect transfer of the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station (VY)
Renewed Facility License No. DPR-28 and the Vermont Yankee Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) general license from Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (ENOIs) currently licensed authority (licensed operator for decommissioning) to NorthStar Nuclear Decommissioning Company (direct transfer), with the indirect transfer of control (ownership) of Entergy Nuclear Vermont Yankee, LLC facility licenses to NorthStar Decommissioning Holdings, LLC, and its parents NorthStar Group Services, Inc., LVI Parent Corp. and NorthStar Group Holdings, LLC.
By letter dated January 11, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML18347B358), the NRC issued Amendment No. 271 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-28, which modified the VY license to reflect the transfers.
T. Silko The enclosure to this letter contains two signed originals of Amendment No. 14 to Indemnity Agreement No. B-49, which is required in connection with the transfer of the VY license. Please sign one original and coordinate the signature of all appropriate parties and return it to the NRCs Document Control Desk as proof of acceptance. Please coordinate the signatures of the other original and keep it for your records.
