Acknowledgement of Receipt of Cimarron Facility Decommissioning Plan- Rev1

Bill, The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff received the Cimarron Environmental Response Trust (CERT) Facility Decommissioning Plan (DP) - Rev. 1 (ADAMS Accession No. ML18323A197) submitted by letter from Jeff Lux dated November 2, 2018. Along with this submittal, CERT requested withdrawal of the previous DP (ADAMS Accession No. ML16230A614) submitted by letter dated December 31, 2015. In response we will withdraw the December 2015 DP.

The NRC staff held a meeting on November 28, 2018, to initiate its 90-day acceptance review of the 2018 revised DP and anticipates completing this review on March 5, 2019.

Jeff Lux, of your staff, and I have agreed to hold a meeting at NRC Headquarters on January 29 and 30, 2019 for CERT to discuss the 2018 revised DP with NRC staff. This meeting will be open to the public. Please let me know if you will need any IT equipment for your presentation.

If you have any questions concerning this letter, please contact me at (301) 415-6664 or via email at Kenneth.Kalman@nrc.gov.

Thank you, Kenneth Kalman. Project Manager Uranium Recovery and Materials Decommissioning Branch
