OF THE MAY 9, 2018, PUBLIC MEETING WITH NUSCALE POWER, LLC, TO DISCUSS NUSCALE'S PLANS TO RESPOND TO THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION STAFFS REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING ITS DESIGN CERTIFICATION APPLICATION, TIER 2, SECTIONS 3.7, "SEISMIC DESIGN,"
AND 3.8, "DESIGN OF CATEGORY I STRUCTURES" On May 9, 2018, representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and NuScale Power, LLC (NuScale) held a public teleconference meeting to discuss NuScale's updated plans to respond to the NRC staffs request for additional information (RAI) regarding its design certification application, Tier 2, Sections 3.7, "Seismic Design," and 3.8, "Design of Category I Structures," information. NuScales revised RAI response schedule is available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) under Accession No. ML18118A015.

SUMMARY
OF THE MAY 9, 2018, PUBLIC MEETING WITH NUSCALE POWER, LLC, TO DISCUSS NUSCALE'S PLANS TO RESPOND TO THE STAFFS REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING SECTIONS 3.7, "SEISMIC DESIGN," AND 3.8, "DESIGN OF CATEGORY I STRUCTURES" This meeting was a follow-up to the initial meeting between the NRC staff and NuScale on April 2, 2018. A summary of that meeting is available in ADAMS under accession no. ML18115A156.
The purpose of this public meeting was for NuScale Power, LLC (NuScale) to provide an update on its plans and schedule to respond to the NRC staffs request for additional information (RAI) regarding its design certification application (DCA), Tier 2, Sections 3.7 and 3.8 related to seismic analysis and design of seismic Category I structures, respectively.
A copy of the NuScales closure plan that was discussed during this meeting is available in ADAMS under Accession No. ML18118A015. During the public meeting, NuScale and the NRC staff discussed all the elements in the closure plan and respective updates.
At the conclusion of the meeting, NuScale agreed to submit an updated version of its Closure Plan to the NRC.
