VERIFICATION LETTER OF THE APPROVAL VERSION OF FRAMATOME INC.

TOPICAL REPORT ANP-10337P-A, REVISION 0, PWR FUEL ASSEMBLY STRUCTURAL RESPONSE TO EXTERNALLY APPLIED DYNAMIC EXCITATIONS (CAC NO. MF67539; EPID L-2015-TOP-0008)

Dear Mr. Peters:

By letter dated May 21, 2018 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML18144A819), Framatome Inc. (Framatome, formerly AREVA Inc.)

submitted an approval (-A) version of Topical Report (TR) ANP-10337P-A, Revision 0, PWR

[Pressurized Water Reactor] Fuel Assembly Structural Response to Externally Applied Dynamic Excitations, to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff. Framatome has done so in accordance with our request to publish approval proprietary and non-proprietary versions of this TR, as detailed in the transmittal letter dated April 30, 2018, of the NRC staffs final safety evaluation (ADAMS Accession No. ML18102B128) for the original TR.

The NRC staff has completed its review of the approval version of the TR. The NRC staff verified that Framatome has met the requirements and determined that the submitted -A versions are acceptable for referencing in licensing applications for nuclear power plants to the extent specified and under the limitations delineated in the accepted versions of the TR. TR ANP-10337P-A, Revision 0, PWR Fuel Assembly Structural Response to Externally Applied Dynamic Excitations, is now approved for use in future licensing actions.
