This will acknowledge receipt of your letter dated June 14, 1989 and your check for $500,000 in payment for the civil penalties proposed by NRC in a letter dated May 18, 1989.
Based on a conversation between E. Grecheck of your staff and P. Fredrickson of the Region II staff, regarding Violation V.D, WE understand that you overhauled and replaced the parts under question in valve Ol-SW-PCV-108, replaced service water pump 02-SW-P-lOB and located the material control tags for the replacement parts in heat exchanger 02-SW-E-lA.
This and your remaining corrective actions will be examined during future inspections.
