SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT RELATED TO THE LICENSE RENEWAL OF RIVER BEND STATION, UNIT 1 (TAC NO. MF9757)
Dear Mr. Maguire:
By letter dated May 25, 2017 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML17153A282), Entergy Operations, Inc. (the applicant) submitted a license renewal application (LRA) pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 54, to renew operating license NPF-47 for River Bend Station Unit 1 for review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff). The staff determined that the LRA was complete and acceptable for docketing on August 7, 2017.
The staff has reviewed the River Bend Station (RBS) LRA and has developed the enclosed Safety Evaluation Report (SER) (ADAMS Accession No. ML18212A151). This SER reflects completion of the staffs evaluation.
The next milestone for this project is the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS)
Subcommittee meeting on September 20, 2018. Although this SER is considered final, changes to it may be necessary following review by the ACRS, to address ACRS comments.
