Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Exercise Report for the Artificial Island Nuclear Generatirig Station Enclosed. is a letter from Mr. Craig S. Wingo, Assistant Associate Director, Office of Technological Haz.ards, FEMA, dated August 12, 1993, transmitting the FEMA Region IT report for the October 28, 1992 full-participation exercise at the Artificial Island Nuclear Generating Station.
There were no deficiencies identified during the exercise, and FEMA has concluded that offsite emergency preparedness is adequate to protect the health and safety of the public. However, the report identifies fourteen Areas Requiring Corrective Action (ARCAs) and one Planning Issue. We request that your staff follow up with offsite officials to resolve the identified ARCAs and Planning Issue prior to the next full-participation exercise.
