NRC BULLETIN 88-08 THERMAL-STRESSES IN.PIPING CONNECTED TO REACTOR COOLANT SYSTEM SALEM GENERATING STATION UNIT NO. 2 DOCKET NO. 50-311 By letter dated March 1, 1993 (ref:. NLR-N93028), *Public Service Electric & Gas Company (PSE&G) provided its response to Bulletin 88-08.
PSE&G committed to perform thermal fatigue analysis on the Auxiliary Pressurizer Spray and the Alternate Charging lines.
PSE&G proposed to provide double valve isolation and install a thermal relief valve on Safety Injection line.
Until the analysis and modifications can be completed, PSE&G committed to perform non-destructive examination on the susceptible welds during each refueling outage.
PSE&G hereby confirms the completion of.the required non-destructive examin~tions on the Alternate Charging, Auxiliary Pressurizer Spray,* and Safety Injection lines.
There were no recordable indications noted during the examinations.
