UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION PUBLIC SERVICE ELECTRIC ANO GAS COMPANY. ET. AL.
DOCKET NOS. 50-272 ANO 50-311 NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE 7590-01 The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted the request of Public Service Electric and Gas Company, Philadelphia Electric Company, Delmarva Power and Light Company and Atlantic Electric Company (the licensees) to withdraw its July 10, 1990, application, as supplemented by letter dated August 28, 1990, for a proposed amendment to Facility Operating Licenses Nos. DPR-70 and DPR-75 for~Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1 and 2, respectively, located in Salem County, New Jersey.
The proposed amendments would have revised the Operating Licenses for Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1 and 2, by adding a section that stated "The terms of the May 6, 1983 order have been satisfied by the incorporation of the long-term corrective action requirements into the Salem Updated Final Safety Analysis Report, Appendix 7.A."
The Commission has previously issued a Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on October 3, 1990
.(55 FR 40473).
However, by letter dated June 1, 1992, the licensee withdrew the proposed change.
For further details with respect to this action, see the application for amendment dated July 10, 1990, the Sijp~lement dated August 28, 1990, and the licensees' letter dated June 1, 1992, which withdrew the applitation for license amendment.
