REQUEST FOR RESPONSE TO AN ALLEGATION (NRR-90-A-0050), SALEM GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 An allegation was recently received regarding activities related to Salem Generation Station, Units 1 and 2.
Specific information regarding the allegation can be found in the enclosure to this letter. This information is being provided to you on a "Limited Distribution" basis and is not being placed in the Public Document Room.
We request that you limit distribution of this information solely to those in your organization who have a need to know in support of your review of this matter.
The purpose of this letter is to request that you provide the results of your review of this matter to the NRC within 90 days of receipt of this letter. If you are unable to meet this schedule, please inform the Project Manager, and provide a proposed alternate schedule.
Should your response contain any personal, privacy, proprietary or safeguards information, it should be provided in an enclosure which will be withheld from public disclosure.
The enclosure to this letter should be controlled, and distribution limited to personnel with a "need-to-know", until your investigation of this matter has been completed and reviewed by the NRC.
The enclosure to this letter is considered Exempt from Public Disclosure in accordance with Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 9.17.
In accordance with 10 CFR 9.17 and 9.21 of the Commission's regulo.tions, a copy of this letter, excluding the enclosure, will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
The response requested by this letter is not subject to the clearance procedure of the Office of Management and Budget as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, PL 96-511.
