GENERIC LETTER 89-10 AND SUPPLEMENTS, SALEM AND HOPE CREEK GENERATIMG STATIONS (TAC NOS. 75710, 75711 and 75671)
This letter is in response to PSE&G 1 s August 31, 1990 letter regarding Generic Letter (GL) 89-10.
In its letter PSE&G requested additional information regarding this issue. The additional information was requested to satisfy PSE&G 1 s concerns regarding the basis for the scope of the recommenda.tions in GL 89-10.
A conference call between PSE&G and NRC staff on September 20, 1990 was held to address these concerns.
As stated during the conference call the information PSE&G requested is contained in Information Notice 90-04, or the transcript of the April 18, 1990 Public Meeting to Review Motor Operated Valve Test Results.
In addition, a report on the results of the Phase II testing will be released by the contractor in the near future.
If you have additional questions please feel free to contact us. If necessary, we will arrange additional conference calls with our technical staff regarding this issue.
