This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Dr. Jaspn C. Jang of
this office on May 29-June 1, 1990 of activities authorized by NRC License Nos.
DPR-70 and DPR-75, and to the di.scussions of our findings held by Dr. Jang with
Mr. L. Miller and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection.
Areas examined durin~ this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report wh1ch is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection cbnsisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
However, an
unmonitored radioactive liquid release from Unit 2 on May 21, 1990 was
categorized as a non-cited violation as described in Section 5.1 of this
inspection report.
Response to the non-cited violation is not required.
No reply to this letter is required.
