-- -DPR-75 As a result of the inspection conducted on Ma.rch.. 17, 1990 -.. April 30,-1990, and in accordance with the 11General Statement of Policy and Procedure for -NRC Enforcement Actions 11, 10 CFR 2, Appendix C (Enforcement Policy 1989), the following violation was identified:
A.
Salem Unit 1 and 2 Technical Specifications 6~8.2, ANSI Nl8.7 - 1976, *and Salem Administrative Procedure No. AP-32 require station procedures to-be reviewed every two years.
Contrary to the above, on April 3, 1990, the inspector determined that approximately 27% of the 2922 procedures requiring bienniel review had not been reviewed within their two-year review period.
This is a Severity Level IV violation (Supplement I).
Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, Public Service Electric and Gas Company is hereby required to submit to this office witrin 30 days of the date of the letter which transmitted this Notice, a written statement or explanation i~ reply, including:
(1) the corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved; (2) corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further violations; and (3) the date when full compliance will be achieved.
Where good cause is shown, consideration will be given to extending this response time.
