Enforcement Discretion Regarding Technical Specification 4.5.2.h.2.b; Excessive Charging Pump Flow Rate, Salem Unit 2 This letter confirms the telephone conversation of January 4, 1990, between Mr. L. K. Miller of your staff, and Mr. P. D. Swetland of my staff, granting your request for a one-time enforcement discretion to allow relief from Technical Specification Action Statements ~.0.3 and 3.5.2(c) for Salem Unit 2.
Specifically, this action grants you relief from these unit shutdown require-ments in anticipation of the approval by the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regu-lation of a waiver of compliance for Technical Specification 4.5.2.h.2.b pursuant to your Emergency Technical Specification request dated January 4, 1990.
All other Technical Specifications remain in effect.
This discretion will remain in effect until the close of business on January 5, 1990.
