RE:

SALEM GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 Enclosed is a Withdrawal Notice which will be published in the Federal Register withdrawing that portion of your March 23, 1989 application applicable to fuses as stated in your August 25, 1989 and September 22, 1989 letters.

This application requested approval of deletion of the table in the Unit 2 Technical Specifications that listed the containment penetration overcurrent protection devices.

Requirements were to be added to the Unit 1 and Unit 2 Technical Specifications for testing and control of these devices, including fuses.

By letters dated August 25, 1989 and September 22, 1989, you requested withdrawal of that portion of the March 23, 1989 application associated with fuses.
