SALEM GENERATING STATION, UNIT NO. 2 In response to the Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) request dated April 21, 1989, the Commission herewith grants the following temporary waiver of compliance from Technical Specification (TS) Table 4.3-1, Item 20, Reactor Coolant Pump Breaker Position Trip (Pump Trip) of the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR) to Facility Operating License No. DPR-75 for the Salem Generating Station, Unit 2.
This waiver is provided to permit PSE&G to operate at up to 100% rated thermal power without having tested the Pump Trip during the last startup.
This waiver shall become effective upon PSE&G's verification that all Pump Trips had been tested during the last refueling outage.
Until the NRC staff completes the processing of the PSE&G's emergency amendment request dated April 21, 1989, this waiver of compliance shall remain in effect.
