Design Bases Reconstitution Meeting
This letter forwards the minutes of the meeting held at your request in the
NRC Region I offices on January 13, 1989.
At that meeting, you discussed your
progress in defining and reconstituting the design bases for critical systems
at Salem Units 1 and 2.
We found the meeting to be informative and useful in
our understanding of the scope and resource commitments required to re-establish
the design bases.
We encourage the completion of this effort because of its
subsequent enhancements to the safe operation of the facility.
