SAFETY EVALUATION 10 CFR 50.59 All instruments involved in this study either serve no process control function or are isolated from the computer input terminal strips by signal is~lation modules.

This ensures that should the 10 ohm impedence of the data logger be breached by some event or if the leads are shorted during installation, there will be no effect on plant operation.

No unreviewed safety or environmental questions are involved.

This design change provided the operators with a means of performing testing of the turbine overspeed trip test device in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.

There was no change to any plant process or discharge or to the environmental impact of the plant.

No unreviewed safety or environmental questions are involved.
