SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT FOR GENERIC LETTER 83-28, ITEMS 3.1.3 AND 3.2.3 (POST-MAINTENANCE TESTING) FOR SALEM NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1,2 Public Service Electric and Gas Company was required by Generic Letter 83-28 Items 3.1.3 and 3.2.3 to review their existing Technical Specifications for post maintenance testing requirements that may degrade rather than enhance safety.
The enclosed SER documents our concurrence with the findings in our contractor 1s report (EG&G NTA 7080) and therefore your responses to GL 83-28, Items 3.1.3 and 3.2.3 are acceptable.
We therefore consider these items to be closed by this action.
