Subject: Combined Inspection 50-272/81-01 and 50-311/81-01
This refers to your letter dated April 2, 1981, in response to our letter
dated March 12, 1981.
Thank you for infonning us of the corrective and preventive actions documented
in your letter. Based on discussions between Mr. L. Norrholm of this office
and Mr. J. Zupko of your staff on April 27, 1981 we understand that, with
respect to Item B, a hardware modification to provide an operator aid in
resolving this recurring problem will be implemented by the end of the next
refueling outage.
With respect to Item C, we understand that Procedure AP-16
addressing 10 CFR 19 posting requirements will be issued by May 21, 1981.
These actions will be examined during a future inspection of your licensed
program.
If our understanding of your preventive actions is incorrect, please
advise this office within 10 days.
