In accordance with the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended and the regulations thereunder, we hereby transmit copies of our request for amendment and our analysis of the change to our Facility Operating License DPR-70 for Salem Generating Station, Unit No. 1.
This request consists of a proposed change to the Safety Techni-cal Specifications (Appendix A) involving modification to limits on a Surveillance flow test of Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) from the Containment Spray Additive Tank.
This change is deemed to not involve a significant hazards con-sideration.
Therefore, it is determined to be a Class III amend-ment as defined by 10CFR 170.22, and a check for the amount of
$4,000 is enclosed.
We would appreciate a prompt review and response to this request as this change is required in order to change modes, presently scheduled for December 11, 1980.
Technical Specification Sur-veillance Requirement 4.6.2.1 concerning the eductor flow rate was satisfactorily demonstrated on December 7, 1980.
Eductor performance curves will be obtained from Westinghouse Electric Corporation and forwarded at a future date.
This submittal includes three (3) originals and forty (40)
