Pressurizer Pressure Channel III Inoperable CONDITIONS PRIOR TO OCCURRENCE:

Mode 3 Prior to Initial Criticality DESCRIPTION OF OCCURHENCE:

During routine operation, it was determined that the above pressure channel would not respond to changes in system pressure and was declared inoperable at 1545 hours0.0179 days <br />0.429 hours <br />0.00255 weeks <br />5.878725e-4 months <br />.

Action Statement 3.3.2.1 was entered which requires with an ESFAS instrumentation channel inop-erable, that in this case, operation may proceed until performance of the next required channel functional test, provided the inoperable channel is placed in the tripped condition within one hour.

DESIGNATION OF APPARENT CAUSE OF OCCURRENCE:

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Investigation revealed the controller would not function properly to maintain system pressure.

The controller was replaced, tested satisfactorily and the Action Statement was terminated at 2015 hours0.0233 days <br />0.56 hours <br />0.00333 weeks <br />7.667075e-4 months <br />.
