Dear Mr. Haskell:
The staff discussed the Palisades lmprov~d Technical Specifications (ITS) review schedule in a telephone conference with you and members of your staff on April 1, 1999. *The enclosed table provides the agreed upon milestone dates for completion of the review and reflects a proposed amendment issuance date of August 30, 1999. Completion of the Palisad~s ITS review by this date is desired by the staff to ensure resources are available for review of additional ITS applications anticipated to be received later this year. To assist in ensuring efficient staff resource allocation, we request that you notify us by letter should circumstances arise that prevent your meeting a milestone date. Similarly, we will notify you of any situations affecting our ability to meet the enclosed schedule.
