GENERIC LETTER 89-13, SERVICE WATER SYSTEM PROBLEMS AFFECTING SAFETY-RELATED EQUIPMENT (TAC 74037)
By letter dated January 29, 1990, Consumers Power Company (CPCo) submitted the first of two required responses to Generic Letter 89-13 (GL 89-13). That letter provided CPC0 1 s commitment to each of the five recommended actions of GL 89-13, or to an equally effective alternative for one or more of the recommendations.
We accept your response as fulfilling these requirements of the GL.
We remind you that for your choice of actions different from the recommended actions, you should document and retain with your plant records a justification that the heat removal requirements of the service water system are satisfied by use of the alternate program.
