This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Messrs. E. R. Swanson,
J. K. Heller and J. A. Holmes during the period of December 15, 1989 through
January 26, 1990, of activities at the Palisades Nuclear Generating Plant
authorized by NRC Provisional Operating License No~ DPR-20 and to the discussion
of our findings with Mr. G. B. Slade and others of your staff at the conclusion
of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas ex~mined during
the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
~xa~ination of procedures and representative records, observati~ns, and
interviews with personnel.*
No violatfons of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
inspection.*
In a~cordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of
this letter, and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC
Public Document Room.
