- b. Reported immediately to the supervisor in charge of the test.
- c. Evaluated before proceeding to the next step.
4.3.2 Per Standing Order-54, with the diesel fire pump located south of the fire barrier (Room 136) or with two fire pumps inoperable, restore the inoperable equipment to operable status within seven days, or, in lieu of any other report required by Specification 6.9.2, prepare and submit a Special Report to the Commission within the next 30 days outlining the plans and procedures to be used to provide for the loss of redundancy in this system.
5.0 PROCEDURE 5.1 VERIFICATION OF PREREQUISITES Verify that all prerequisites are met.
I Control Operator 1 Date 5.2 ELECTRIC FIRE PUMP **P-9A s.2.1 Stop Fire Jockey Pump **P-13 or Service Water Booster Pump being used in its place at local motor controller by placing hand switch to "OFF."
..:1 NOTE: In performing the following step, note that **P-9A has a start setpoint on **PS-1311 of 95 psi and there is a time delay of 5 to 10 seconds before the pump starts.
S.2.2 Slowly bleed down Fire System Header Pressure by opening Fire System Alarm Test Drain Valve **HV-FP609. Bleed down pressure to between reading* of 94 to 9' psi on Pressure Gauge **PI-53SOA.* Wait at least 10 seconds at this pressure until **P-9A starts.
- If pump does not start, continue bleeding down system in 2 psi increments stopping at each increment and waiting at least 10 seconds until **P-9A starts.

Severe engine damage or explosion may result if fuel oil is present in crankcase.
5.3.1 Check **K-5 lube oil crankcase .level using diesel dipstick.

5.3.5 Slowly bleed down Fire System Header Pressure by opening Fire System Alarm Test Drain Valve **HV-FP609. Bleed down pressure to between readings of 79 to 80 psi from Pressue Gauge *'*PI-5350A. Wait at least 10 second* at this pressure until **P-98 starts. If pump does not start, continue bleeding down system pressure in 2 psi increments stopping at each increment and waiting at least 10 seconds until
- P-98 stares.
5.3.6 Close the Test Drain Valve **HV-FP609.
5.3.7 Verify "Fire Pump Running" alarm **EK-1140 in the Control Room.

NOTE: In performing the following step note that **P-41 has a start setpoint on **PS-5350 of 68 psi and there is a time delay of 10 to 20 seconds before the pump will start.
S.4.4 Slowly bleed off sensing line pressure between **HV-FP612 and
- PI-5350A by slowly opening bleeder valve located several inches below **PI-5350A. Bleed down pressure to between readings of 67 to 68 psi from Pressure Gauge **PI-5350A. Wait at least 20 seconds at this pressure until **P..;41 starts. If pump does not start, continue bleeding down sensing leg pressure in 2 psi increments stopping at each increment and waiting at least 20 seconds until **P-41 starts.
5.4.5 Verify "Fire Pump Running" alarm **EK-3512 in the Control Room.

6.5 Diesel lube oil pressure shall greater than 30 psi at running speed *.
6.6 Diesel coolant temperature shall not exceed 200°F.
6.7 The "As-Found" engines RPM should be between 1745 to 1795 rpm.
6.8 If any of the fire pumps are declared inoperable notify Property
.Protection in accordance with FPIP-4 (Fire Protection Equipment).
6.9 No noted detrimental conditions. If any conditions are listed, then the pumps are not to be declared inoperable unless it is obvious the conditions render the pump inoperable. Initiate a Work Order (if required) with the conditions being corrected as soon as possible.
