- UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION CONSUMERS POWER COMPANY DOCKET NO. 50-255 NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT TO PROVISIONAL OPERATING LICENSE The United. States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted the request of Consumers Power Company (the licensee) to withdraw its August 21, 1980 application for proposed amendment to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-20 for the Palisades Plant, located in Van Buren County, Michigan.
The proposed amendment would have modified the Appendix A Technical Specifications pertaining to the definition of OPERABILITY, and would have added general limiting conditions for operation (LCO) and actions for those situations where multiple outages of redundant equipment have occurred.
The Commission has previously issued a Notice of Consideration ~f Issuance of Amendment published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on November 22, 1983 (48 FR 52810).
However, by letter dated January 24, 1989, the licensee withdrew the proposed change.
For further details with respect to this action, see the application for amendment dated, August 21, 1980, and the licensee's letter dated January 24, 1989, which withdrew the application for license amendment.
