SUBJECT:

REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION RESPONSE TO IE BULLltTIN 80-04, 111@\\~ YSIS OF-A Pw.&}1AIN STEAM LINE BREAK.tHTH CONTINUED FEEOWATER ADDITION" We have reviewed your response, submitted on April 26, 1982, to our request for* additional information dated March 8, 1982.

He find that your response was incomplete 1.n that it did not fully describe the effects of a single active failure either in* the actuating circuitry, including the actuating devices (relays and solenoid valves), or of the actuated devices (the feedwater regulating valves or feedwater bypass valves). The enclosed request for additional infonnation, therefore, assumes that a single active failure *co,1.1J,d result in a feed~*1ater regulating valve or a feedwater bypass V@:_l;ve remaining open. Please respond to this request within 45 days of the date of this letter.

Since the request is specific *to the Palisades Pl ant and affect~

fe~*Jer than ten respondents; OMB clearance is not required under P.L~ 96-511.
