Dear Mr. Vassallo:
Your letter of March 28, 1983 requested the results of evaluations and examinations of material and components removed from service at Nine Mile Point Unit l.
Following the discovery of intergranular stress corrosion cracking at Nine Mile Point Unit 1, an interdisciplinary Task Force of industry experts was established.
This Task Force investigated various attributes of the intergranular stress corrosion cracking phenomena.
The attached "Pipe Crack Task Force Report," documents the results of these investigations.
