Gentlemen:

Niagara Mohawk's letter of February 3, 1995 (NMP1L 0900) informed the Commission that we had evaluated Human Engineering Observations (HEOs) EA-006 (installation of a high pressure coolant injection override switch) and EA-007 (elimination of automatic initiation of containment spray) and determined that no plant modifications were warranted. An informal Request for Additional Information (RAI) was faxed to us on February 22, 1995 and was discussed with Messrs. West and Eckenrode in an April 5, 1995 telephone conference.

During that telephone conference, a request for a written response to selected RAI questions was made. The answers are provided in the Attachment to this letter.
