Generic Letter 83-28, Item 4.5.2, required li'censee and applicants, with. plants not currently designed to permit on-line testing of the reactor trip system, to justify not making modifications to permit such testing.
t By letters dated April 10, 1984, as supplemented December 20, 1985 and April 15, 1986, you submitted a response to Generic Letter 83-28, Item 4.5.2.
In our enclosed safety evaluation, the NRC staff concludes that your response to Item 4.5.2 is acceptable.
Therefore, we consider Item 4.5.2 to be complete.
It should be noted that Items 4.5.2 and 4.5.3 of Generic Letter 83-28 have been assigned the NRC Technical Assignment Control (TAC) number 71822.
The TAC will remain open until Item 4.5.3 is closed as well.
