A summary of the findings was presented

Roman
and other
members of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection.
While no violations were noted,
a response
to this letter is requested.
The
enclosed
inspection report identifies
a concern relative to a diaphragm fai lure
in the air operator of a scram outlet valve in Unit 1.
You are requested
to
provide the results of your review of the diaphragm failure including an analysis
of the consequences
of a similar failure in a scram inlet valve and the extent
of the diaphragm material
aging,
including your current plans for diaphragm
replacement.
The responses
directed
by this letter are not subject to the clearance
procedures
of the Office of Management
and Budget
as required
by the Paperwork Reduction
Act of 1980,
PL 96-511.
