Name: Nonie Fickling 11 I,s /,;zo17 General Comment As a long time resident of San Clemente since 1963, I have been following with great interest the history of San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant. I have attended numerous meetings held regarding the decommissioning of the plant. I am baffled why our government would settle on using sub-par storage canisters for temporary storage. The stakes are too high to settle for anything less than state of the art storage. I am gravely concerned that the thinner canisters would not hold up should we experience an earthquake higher than 7.0. I'm also concerned that should a leak occur, there are no known systems in place to capture and seal up the nuclear leak.
Please look out for our safety and require the thicker canisters.
Sincerely, Nonie Fickling SUNSI Review Complete Template = ADM _ 01 J E-RIDS= ADM-OJ Add=.>ere"'Y 5mi'tl! { jA s.i) https://www.fdms.gov/fdms/ getcontent?objectld=0900006482d8fe72&format=xml&showorig=false 01/09/2018
